The Rainbow Review is Reading & Berks County Pennsylvania's very first GLBTQ (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning) Publication; a monthly magazine which highlights news and entertainment in the local Theatre Community, the Drag scene, the local GLBTQ Bar scene, the Leather Community, and other areas of interest to the GLBTQ Community and their Straight allies. The Rainbow Review consists of a full-color inside/outside cover page with black and white inside content and several color advertisements as well. In our PDF eSubscription format, The Rainbow Review appears in full color.
The Rainbow Review was conceived in April of 2009 when the need for a GLBTQ publication to serve the growing GLBTQ population in the Reading & Berks County area became very apparent. The Rainbow Review remained in the conceptual stage until late February 2010 when it was decided that the time had come to take it to the next level.
The first Issue of The Rainbow Review was printed in-house and released on February 27, 2010. That Issue, which was available in both print and PDF eSubscription formats, saw an initial circulation of over 450 copies with more recent Issues seeing of total circulation of nearly 1,500 copies per month!!
Beginning in January of 2012, The Rainbow Review transitioned to an all digital format, and 100% FREE ADVERTISING. In April 2012, Columns, advertisements, and other contributions from areas outside of Reading and Berks County will be added, making The Rainbow Review a more diversified publication.
